Please note that this work session has been moved back for one week due to inclement weather.
The next Rockhill track work session will take place Thursday, February 25, and Friday, February 26. Work hours will be from 9 am to 4 pm.
For up to the minute forecasts visit www.accuweather.com and enter the Rockhill zip code 17249.
We’ll have to watch the weather closely. Forecasts call for more frozen wet stuff next week. I’ll keep you posted. (Come on, spring!)

Projects we will be working on:
Spiking and gauging of the east leg of the wye track east of the switch leading to the south leg (near the Trolley Museum’s car barn).
- Spike every fourth tie
- No tie plates
- Spiking will be done with air (Think that some of the full-time personnel will be a part of this work.)
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) This is new information and railroad policy
- Hard hats
- Safety glasses
- Full face shields when using the cutoff saw to cut bolts or rail, etc.
- Steel-toed boots
- Optional (not required)
- Safety vests
- Hearing protection
Hard hats are available in the Paint Shop.
I will have extra safety glasses for anyone who needs them.
You must be 18 and a member of the FEBT (or join at the work site.) These are insurance requirements. We are guests of the railroad and need to behave accordingly.
