Current Update
Thanks to your generous donations, we have completed a tremendously successful 2025 Campaign. We have raised over $522,000, far exceeding our goal of $270,000.
Remember, every dollar you give, restores more of the historic East Broad Top Railroad!
2025 Campaign donations beyond the initial $270K goal were utilized to purchase additional track materials and clearing for the March to Saltillo, continue the Saltillo station interior, and advance other key FEBT restoration projects. We have raised over $250K towards additional restoration!
We post updates to the campaign total on the 1st of each month, so check back for next month’s total!

We enter the 2026 Campaign amazed by what we’ve accomplished together
and excited with what we can achieve next year. Your continued
support will enable more remarkable progress to restore the EBT. Our
goal is to raise $3500,000 to:
- Advance the March to Saltillo
- Complete the interior of the Saltillo Station
- Continue the Rockhill Furnace Shops Restoration
- Continue the work to preserve and make accessible the EBT Archives
- Support the restoration of Locomotive 15
- Provide for future restoration projects
If we are fortunate again to exceed our goal in 2026, the additional
funds will be used to accelerate selected projects like the March to
Saltillo.

Here are the details on the projects included in the 2026 Campaign.
The March to Saltillo

The dedicated efforts of the FEBT and EBTF track crew on the March to Saltillo have now extended operational track to the Southern Huntingdon County High School and the north approach to the Pogue bridge. This work included rebuilding three crossings. Track work has also started heading north from Saltillo and clearing and grading is underway south of Pogue siding. In 2026 we will continue to provide the track materials to allow the FEBT and EBTF track crews to restore track south of the Pogue bridge. We are dedicating $115,000 of the 2026 Campaign to support this effort. Additional campaign donations will allow us to purchase additional track materials to allow our track crew to accelerate track restoration on the March to Saltillo. Click here to donate.
The return of Saltillo Station

The recreated Saltillo station went from groundbreaking in April to completion of the exterior in Sept. The installation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing is now underway. We still need to purchase the materials required to allow our volunteers to complete the interior of the Saltillo Station. We plan to allocate $35,000 of the 2026 Campaign to this final phase of the project. Click here to donate.
Continue the Rockhill Furnace Shops Restoration

In Rockhill Furnace, five new roofs were installed including the freight office and foundry gantry. Store house 2 was lifted and supported to its proper height, and the turntable deck was replaced. We plan to keep the momentum going in Rockhill in 2026 with more roof and building restorations. These include the round house and store house 2. We are targeting $55,000 to support this effort. Continue the work to preserve and make accessible the EBT Archives

During 2025, the EBT Archives publicly shared 600 additional items that included volumes of EBT Stockholders’ Minutes, numerous maps and drawings, and hundreds of photographs from FEBT and EBTF collections. With your generous and on-going support, the Archives in 2026 will continue to process and share EBT and Rockhill Iron & Coal archival materials and photographs, while preparing to transition to a new facility in Mount Union. We plan to raise $95,000 in the 2026 Campaign to enable this work. Click here to donate.

Support the restoration of Locomotive 15

The FEBT campaign has funded a new tender tank for locomotive 15 and has provided funding to rebuild the trailing truck. FEBT will continue to support the restoration of number 15 to operation. The 2026 Campaign will contribute $15,000 to purchase new stay bolts for engine 15. Click here to donate.
Provide for future restoration projects
We cannot always forecast all of our restoration needs in advance. We’d like to set aside $35,000 from the 2026 campaign for new or unexpected restoration needs.
Your continued support of the 2026 Campaign will allow us to do more to accelerate the rebirth of the East Broad Top. 2026 Campaign donations beyond the $350K goal will be used to purchase additional track materials for the March to Saltillo and advance other key FEBT restoration projects.
