While not much is known about its early history, Combine #14 was believed to have been built by the Laconia Car Co. some time in the 1880s. The East Broad Top then purchased the car from the Boston, Revere Beach & Lynn Railway in 1916. In its working life, the car hauled passengers, mail, and express freight. It regularly hauled tourists from the 1960s to 2011.
