SUMMARY:FEBT Robertsdale Museum Open - Archives Day
DESCRIPTION:The Friends of the East Broad Top Museum presents the history of the East Broad Top Railroad & Coal Company\, the industries it served in the surrounding area and the culture of the railroad\, its employees and customers. The museum’s current exhibits are located in the historic Rockhill Iron and Coal Company Post Office and also includes the East Broad Top Railroad Station. Three original East Broad Top hoppers are now on display adjacent to the station on a section of restored track. \nArchives Day \nThis is an Archives Day at the Museum. The EBT Archives and Special Collections will feature special pieces from their collection. Also there will be a special presentation by Vagel Keller\, PhD at 11 AM. \nRailbike Tour in Robertsdale\nWalking tours of the EBT yard and mine area are offered at 11 AM\, 1 PM\, and 3 PM each day the museum is open. Good walking shoes for uneven terrain are recommended for the tour. Railbike tours are also available on over a mile of restored East Broad Top mainline narrow gauge track. \nThe museum includes a gift shop with a variety of EBT\, railroad and coal mining items. SUMMARY:FEBT Fall Reunion 2024
DESCRIPTION:Night Train at Orbisonia Station\nThe FEBT Reunion occurs each fall at the East Broad Top Railroad. The 2024 FEBT Fall Reunion takes place on October 4th to the 6th with a variety of events being held in the coal fields at Robertsdale\, at the operating EBT at Rockhill\, and other locations. \nRegistration for the 2024 Fall Reunion is $40 per person and Reunion pre-registration will be available through the FEBT Company Store https://store.febt.org/ from July 1st through September 29th. Onsite Registration will be available during the Friday and Saturday of Reunion Weekend. \nFall Reunion registrants must be FEBT members – Membership is available online or during the onsite registration time during Fall Reunion. \nThis years Fall Reunion will include a variety of activities: \n\nWalking and railbike tours of the Robertsdale mine area \nOpen House Time in the Rockhill Yard on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 11am\nPanels and presentations on a variety of EBT related topics \nIn person Company Store\nAnd much\, much more \n\nAdditionally\, the night train will be returning for 2024 as a dinner train\, exclusively for reunion registrants. The train will include a catered meal at Colgate Grove and both the train ticket and meal are included in fall reunion registration. \nTickets for other EBT Excursions\, Tours and Special Operations may be purchased through eastbroadtop.com or at the EBT Ticket Office and are not included with reunion registration. \nDetails of the event will be published here and in the monthly FEBT Newsletter and the Timber Transfer magazine.
